In describing your course assessments for readers of your syllabus, consider the following questions:
- How many assessments (and other high-stakes assignments) will there be, when will they occur during the semester, and what is their format (e.g., length and nature of exams?)
- What other information could you share about assessments to help students prepare and plan ahead for them?
- How will these assessments factor into the final grade (see Grading Scale)?
- Will you provide a detailed description of major assignments in the syllabus or just a sketch in the syllabus (and more detailed description closer to the due date)?
