Pittsburgh Symphony Bassoonist Pandolfi Joins Faculty
Philip Pandolfi of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, has been appointed as an artist lecturer in bassoon at the CMU School of Music.

Philip Pandolfi, a 29-year veteran of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, has been named an Artist Lecturer in Bassoon at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music and joins the faculty for the Fall 2024 semester.
Pandolfi studied at Indiana University and Temple University and played in the first three seasons of the New World Symphony beginning in 1988. Prior to joining the PSO, he was a member of the Montreal Symphony and Florida Orchestra. He has performed on multiple continents as part of both the New World Symphony and the Pittsburgh Symphony.
An active chamber musician, Pandolfi has also performed frequently with the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Project, the Shadyside Concert series, and in recital at Duquesne University and Carnegie Mellon.
