Bio

Dr. Sharon Dutton teaches Primary and Junior Music for the Halton District School Board in Ontario. Past experiences include directing the Halton Hills Children’s Chorus, and playing piano professionally with The Champagne Trio. Her PhD research project (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, 2015) explores spiritual connections that are encountered by teachers and students in Dalcroze classes (an approach to music education through expressive movement). She continues to study Dalcroze pedagogy, and currently serves as vice-president for Dalcroze Canada.
