Bio

Kelly Trumbull is a multi-disciplinary theater artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. Currently, she serves on the faculties of University of Pittsburgh’s Theatre Arts Department and Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Music, where she is committed to creating empowering, inclusive spaces for the next generation of performing artists. Additionally, as an educator, she has collaborated with numerous Pittsburgh organizations including City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Donna Belajac’s Actor’s Studio, Center for Theater Arts, MGR Foundation, Propel Charter Schools, and Bricolage. In New York City, she has taught with organizations such as Uncommon Schools, Wingspan Arts, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, New York University’s Looking for Shakespeare, and Shakespeare Youth Ensemble. As an actor, Pittsburgh credits include work with Pitt Stages, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Quantum Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse (The Rep), Bricolage, No Name Players, Real/Time Interventions, and City Theatre Company. She has numerous commercial, TV, and film credits. Directing credits include Pittsburgh Playhouse Jr., Pitt Stages, and Point Park University among others. Her original play, Morning Reckoning, will receive a full production in April 2023 at the New Hazlett Theater as part of CSA Season 10. Kelly will also direct the production. She holds a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Educational Theater in Colleges and Communities from New York University. She is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA.
