Bio
Armenian pianist Vahan Sargsyan is an alumnus of the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan Armenia, where his teachers were Elza Tandilyan and his father, renowned pianist professor Villi
Sargsyan.
He is a Laureate of the International Piano Competition in Rio-de-Janeiro, Brazil. as well as numerous Winner of Pittsburgh Concert Society Major auditions as soloist and in various chamber groups. Vahan has concertized in Armenia, Georgia, Italy, Russia, Austria, Argentina, Brazil, USA and Canada. His CD are released by Alanna Records, Aerophon, Ablaze and Suzuki labels. Having performed solo concerto with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Sargsyan also has appeared regularly at the Orchestra keyboards.
Currently Mr. Vahan Sargsyan, in addition to manifold concerts and festival engagements, works as an Artist Lecturer in collaborative piano and chamber music at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music.
