Bio
Taylor was thrilled to join the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music in August 2023. He holds both a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor’s of Music in Oboe Performance from Kent State University in Ohio and has been cultivating his expertise in Arts Administration since 2013 when he served as music director for a small town church choir. Since then, he has been honored to work and collaborate with other great institutions like University of Rochester Orchestra, Cleveland Institute of Music, Canton Symphony Orchestra, and The Cleveland Orchestra.
A self-proclaimed “Renaissance Man”, Taylor also enjoys playing in pit orchestras, crafting, drawing, growing plants, watching science and history documentaries, and singing loudly in the car. He is cat-dad to Scarlett and Melly, and loves spending time with his family and laughing.
