ALUMNI RECITAL SERIES: TIMOTHY LEFEBVRE, BARITONE

School of Music alumni and nationally acclaimed baritone, Timothy LeFebvre will present the first in a series of recitals given by alums on Sunday,September 8, 2013 at 3 pm in Kresge Theatre (CFA). Joining LeFebvre on September 8th will be Timothy Cheek who will accompany him on a wide selection of repertoire ranging from early French arias to Korngold's Tanzlied des Pierrot. Featured on the recital will be the lieder of Strauss.

While at Carnegie Mellon University, LeFebvre studied voice with Dr. Lee Cass and received his first operatic experience under the guidance of Mildred Miller Posvar and Opera Theater of Pittsburgh.  His frequently performed opera roles include Rigoletto, Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Germont (La Traviata), Count (Le nozze di Figaro), Falke (Die Fledermaus), Marcello and Shaunard (La Bohème) and Father (Hansel and Gretel). LeFebvre has appeared in concert with the Jacksonville Symphony, Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Wichita Symphony, Pensacola Symphony, Minnesota Symphony, Syracuse Symphony, American Symphony Orchestra, and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra to name a few. Mr. LeFebvre is currently Associate Professor of Singing at Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
