What is it about Carnegie Mellon School of Music heads and composing? Alan Fletcher composed a great deal, and now has had multiple commissions from the Pittsburgh Symphony. His successor, Noel Zahler, also is an accomplished composer and has a new work coming out on Norway’s SIMAX label. It’s “L’espace entre nous (The space between us),” for flute and guitar.
