Collaboration Interests
The Remaking Cities Institute, I direct, is the School of Architecture's research center for urbanism, participatory action and community design. Its mission is to catalyze spatial equity and resilience in the future of cities. We are keen on collaborating with any research initiative or class that addresses the built environment (from buildings to public space) and works with community groups, especially as it pertains to social justice and sustainability.
The RCI and the Master of Urban Design program have been working with community groups on neighborhood revitalization since the 1960s. We are happy to share our experience and provide support in community engagement and community design. RCI can connect faculty members and student to community initiatives and/or other groups on campus.
