Mandatory Immigration Check-In and Welcome Session

Spring 2023

International students with a spring 2023 program start date on their I-20/DS-2019 who are physically present in the U.S. are required to complete a mandatory orientation and immigration check-in with the Office of International Education (OIE). This includes:

  • New spring 2023 admits who are physically present in the U.S. for the spring semester
  • Return from leave students who are physically present in the U.S. for the spring semester

Spring 2023 students must complete the OIE online e-form before attending the Mandatory Immigration Check-in & Welcome Session on January 13, 2023. Failure to complete the OIE immigration check-in will result in a loss in your F-1/J-1 status and benefits. If your plans have changed or you are unable to join us in the U.S. for the spring 2023 semester, please let us and your admitting department know of your new plans if you have not done so already.
