Greetings, Students & Scholars!

Ah, November in Pittsburgh reminds us that winter is on its way! Or maybe tomorrow it'll be bright, sunny, and feel like spring. Or give it an hour, and it could feel like summer. Who knows! What we do know is that a lot is going on in the city and across campus this week. We hope you enjoy this issue of the OIE "Friday Greetings" email.

OIE & CMU News & Events

Educating & Empowering Communities Against Antisemitism

On Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 6:15 p.m., in Simmons Auditorium, join a thought-provoking and compelling presentation by Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker, who will share reflections on his experience as a survivor of the synagogue hostage crisis at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas in January 2022. Honoring the lives lost due to hatred, Rabbi Cytron-Walker will provide insights on combating antisemitism through education and empowerment. To attend, please register by Friday, Nov 10. Learn more about this event.
