About Our Club

The Carnegie Mellon Women's Association Community Service Club was started in the Fall of 2018 and serves the campus and greater Pittsburgh community through volunteer activity. This club unites CMWA members who enjoy giving their time to support worthy causes.

There is no set time commitment and volunteer opportunities can be suggested by anyone in the group.

Saturday, September 13
Step Out Walk 
The activities begin between 8:30 a.m. & 9 a.m. 
Location: PNC Park Riverwalk

Sign-up to be a part of the CMWA Team for the Step Out Walk benefiting the American Diabetes Association. Participation is FREE. No registration fees are required. 

The approximately 1-mile walk begins at PNC Park's Riverwalk and continues up the Riverfront Trail on the North Shore, along the Allegheny River.

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
Location: 1N. Linden Street, Duquesne, PA 15110

Join the CMWA Community Service Club at The Market of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to help guests shop, restock shelves, and assist with check-in/check-out.

Parking: Park in front lot or along Grant Ave. and proceed to The Market entrance.

Requirements: All volunteers need to register at least 10 days in advance so the Food Bank can plan appropriately and ensure that everyone has signed the safety waivers before arriving.
Closed-toe shoes are rquired. Must be at least 18-years-old to participate.

Dress for Success

We have a long partnership with Dress for Success - conducting clothing drives as well as writing cards of encouragement to empower local women to enter interviews, training programs, and/or new jobs with confidence!
