Meet Our Team

Joining the SLICE team in July 2021, Jack serves as the event management and training coordinator. Within his role, Jack serves as the primary advisor for the Activities Board, along with assisting with other large-scale campus events and initiatives. He also aids student organizations through their development and event planning. Outside of the office, Jack enjoys exploring the city, hiking, discovering new music, spending time with his family and friends, and supporting local businesses and restaurants.

Colleen joined the SLICE office in September 2022. In her role, she serves as the primary advisor for both the Undergraduate Student Senate and the Spring Carnival Committee. When not working directly with students, Colleen develops large-scale traditional programs and events, building community and Tartan Pride on campus. In her free time, Colleen enjoys playing strategy and board games with friends, exploring coffee shops, and catching up on British TV shows.

Lexie (she/her/hers) has been serving at the assistant director of SLICE since March 2022. Her role focuses on educational strategy for student organizations and advising fraternity and sorority life. She will serve as the Panhellenic Council Advisor and provide director support for a portfolio of chapters. In her free time, Lexie enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants in the area, and listening to podcasts. Lexie is a proud and active member of Zeta Tau Alpha.



Yvette began her career at CMU in January 2022, as an application processor assistant, a temporary position with the Office of Undergraduate Admission. She then joined the SLICE team in June as a Financial Assistant. In her role, she works closely with the students to fulfill their purchasing requests and making travel arrangements. She also performs other duties such as processing expense reimbursements, journal entries, verification of Pcards, and deposits. Yvette enjoys sewing, traveling, walking, and spending time with family and friends.

Elizabeth Koch
Director of Operations & Engagement for SLICE
Elizabeth began her career at CMU in 2014 and currently oversees the operational elements of the SLICE office as well as the engagement opportunities for students at CMU. She spends most of her time with student government and supporting the efforts of student organizations. Elizabeth serves as a local chapter president for the Cornell Alumni Association (Go Big Red!) and can be often found in Gates Cafe with a cappuccino.

Joining CMU in 2021, Meggan focuses on civic engagement initiatives. Meggan oversees several student organizations and initiatives including PACE and alternative break orgs, coordinates student voter engagement initiatives, and manages large-scale civic engagement programming such as Orientation Day of Service and the Volunteer Fair. In her free time, Meggan can be found reading, thrifting, crafting, and trying new coffee shops.

Taylor joined the SLICE team in May of 2022. In her role as coordinator, she advises the Multicultural Greek Council and numerous chapters within fraternity and sorority life. She works with various offices on campus to implement harm reduction initiatives for student organizations. Taylor is a proud alumnae of Delta Phi Epsilon. In her free time, Taylor can be found trying a new recipe, spending time with family, or getting overly invested in a board game.

Liz Vaughan

James & Sharon Rohr Director of Civic Engagement
Liz joined Carnegie Mellon in 2004. She supports the SLICE office’s goals and strategic efforts in her role as director, focusing on advancing civic engagement efforts and student governance, combating student food insecurity and advising student groups. Liz also supports graduate students in interdisciplinary programs as their college liaison. In her free time, you can find Liz playing with her three children, enjoying the outdoors or experimenting with a new recipe.

Sam advises the Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Council and a smattering of fraternity and sorority chapters. He also provides leadership opportunities and risk management education within the SLICE office. Sam can often be found hiking, thrift-store hunting and listening to podcasts in his spare time.

Amy Weston
Senior Administrative Assistant & Office Manager
Amy brings a dynamic background to SLICE with previous roles in higher education, law and communications/public relations. She is responsible for office management and reception, general SLICE staff and student organization support and other various projects. A native Pittsburgher, she enjoys spending time with her family when not at work.
