Arts Pass

All graduate and undergraduate CMU students can gain free access to eight Pittsburgh venues with their Carnegie Mellon ID. In order to be eligible, your primary affiliation must be “student” and your contact information must be listed in the CMU Directory.

At this time, faculty, staff, and sponsored guests are not eligible for the Art Pass program.  

Please review the information below and check the museums' websites before planning your trip to learn the most up-to-date information regarding their current hours of operation and ticketing procedures.

Planning Your Visit

Free timed-ticket admission is available for CMU students with a valid student ID. Students must call or email the museum in advance of visiting to make timed-ticket reservations and utilize the free Arts Pass entrance. Students will be asked to present their student ID card upon entering the museum.

Free admission for CMU students is available on a walk-up basis. CMU students are asked not to purchase their ticket online; instead, they should check in at the admissions desk upon arrival. Please bring your valid CMU student ID with you to gain free entry to Mattress Factory.

CMU students may visit Phipps during their normal business hours without prior booking. Please have your student ID ready when you approach the admissions desk. CMU students who wish to book their tickets in advance may do so by emailing tickets@phipps.conservatory.org or calling 412-622-6914. Please bring your valid student ID card when visiting Phipps
