Tartan Watch Party: Men's Basketball vs. Rowan - NCAA Tournament Round 1

March Madness is here! On Friday, March 1, at 3:15 p.m., join your fellow Tartans as we cheer on Men's Basketball as they compete in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Enjoy the game and grab a slice of pizza. Be sure to fill out the Sign-Up if you’re interested in attending (so they can order enough pizza!).

Carnegie Mellon Wind Ensemble

On Friday, March 1, at 8 p.m., check out the Carnegie Mellon Wind Ensemble. The wind ensemble performs a repertoire from standard concert band works to contemporary compositions of various instrumental combinations. The Carnegie Mellon Wind Ensemble utilizes a flexible instrumentation of winds, brass, and percussion in each of their performances to create a unique and ever changing sound. This concert is free and open to all. Learn more about this event.

53rd Annual World Affairs Institute: Navigating Climate Intersections

On Tuesday, March 5, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., join Pittsburgh’s World Affairs Council for a conference on Navigating Climate Intersections. Climate change and its impacts affect every aspect of our lives and work, from supply chain crises to extreme weather events that displace populations and suppress economic growth. Through interactive workshops, panel discussions, and performances, the conference will explore how climate action intersects across sectors locally, while also connecting Pittsburgh to broader regional and global initiatives. Learn more about this event.

Garden Railroad Farewell Party

Choo-choo! On Friday, March 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., hop aboard the last trip for Phipp’s Conservatory’s Garden Railroad: Pennsylvania Through the Four Seasons! Say farewell to this season and the beloved miniature world of trains and landscapes at this family-friendly celebration. Kids can look forward to exciting and educational activity stations, a photo booth and more! They'll also receive a train ticket that will be stamped as they complete each activity station along the way. Learn more about this event.
