Infrastructure Services

IT Infrastructure is provided at both the University and the department level.

At the University level it includes enterprise-level hardware, software, systems, and network infrastructure that provide underlying support for university activities. Includes data centers, network backbone, wireless, central storage and system backup solutions, server virtualization, and systems management and operations.

At the department level it includes enterprise-level hardware, data centers, servers, server virtualization and storage that both supplement and depend on University infrastructure. Department infrastructure is intended to provide education services that are not available from the University.

 

Network (CMU)

  • Maintenance of infrastructure required to offer network connectivity

Network (ChemE)

  • Data center networks and department segments that are either connected to the campus network or isolated.

 

Server (CMU)

  • Infrastructure provisioning, hosting, and administration of servers
  • Physical and virtual servers for departmental and sponsored projects

Server (ChemE)
