Windows Printing Issues - Sep/Oct 2021

In both Sepember and October, windows updates have broken printing on windows. In September this update broke printing on the server side. We removed the update.

As of October 21, another update broke printing on the client side.

We are currently working with computing services and internally to find a work around for this issue. Additional testing will be performed this evening.

At this time we are recommending that users go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features and remove the update KB5006670. Once the update is removed, go to "Advanced Options" and pause updates for two weeks. This fix has been working for most people.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to reproduce the symptoms on any of our computers, so we cannot test potential solutions.
