Graff Awarded Eisenhower Fellowship

CEE PhD student Lindsay Graff, who earned her Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering undergraduate degree from Princeton University, has been honored with the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Under the guidance of CEE professors Sean Qian and Katherine Flanigan, Lindsay's PhD research is centered on optimizing mobility subsidies and network investments within multi-modal transportation networks, a timely focus as cities increasingly invest in diverse transportation options like bike-share, e-scooters, and carshare to complement traditional public transit routes.

In expressing her gratitude for the fellowship, Graff stated, "It's an honor to be selected for this fellowship, and I owe much to my advisors and fellow PhD candidates for their unwavering guidance and support."

The Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program aims to attract the brightest talents to the transportation field and promote workforce development in transportation-related disciplines, encompassing all modes of transportation. Over the years, this program has contributed over $50 million to support exceptional minds in the transportation industry, leading to transformative innovations in various transportation sectors and producing leaders in academia, private industry, and public service.
