Carnegie Mellon University

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department provides a wide range of extracurricular activities for our diverse student body, including annual outings, riverboat dinners, and ski trips, as well as breakfasts, lunches, and dinners hosted by faculty and staff throughout the semester, Halloween and winter holiday parties, and events during finals to recharge after weeks of hard work and studies.

We also encourage involvement in campus chapters of organizations such as EWRI and ASCE, as well as resources and events specifically for masters and PhD level students offered by organizations like the GSA, and suggest exploring CMU's Tartan Connect, which connects students to over 350 campus-wide student-run organizations.
