New this year! The Intelligence & Government Career Expo will bring together government agencies and contractors as well as students interested in working to support various government departments and agencies.

Students in attendance should have the ability to obtain a government security clearance if selected for a position with an agency or contractor requiring a government background check. You do not need to have a government security clearance prior to attending the event."

This event is open to CMU, Duquesne University, and the University of Pittsburgh students.

Registration is open in Handshake.  Online registrations will be taken until the dates listed below.  Once online registration has closed, please email Janet Vojtash at and registrations will be taken if room is available.

Registration and Deadlines:
$950 through January 21
$1000 January 22 – January 28

What is Included:
One 6' table with a black linen, two chairs, wireless internet connection, up to four (4) representitives per event space, catered lunch for each registered representitive, and one parking access code per company.

Intelligence & Government Career Expo Goes Green
The CPDC is dedicated to the University wide Scotty Goes Green initiative. As part of this effort, we ask that all Career Expo employers limit giveaways to those items that are practical and usable.  These might include: candy, chapsticks, hand sanitizer, notebooks, pens, USB sticks.
Please join us in taking steps towards a more sustainable future for us all!

Company Displays/Banners
Company display/banner dimensions for Encompass cannot exceed 8’ high x 6’ wide.  Contact Janet Vojtash if your display/banner exceeds these requirements.  Although not guaranteed, every effort will be made for those employers who have displays/banners that go beyond the stated dimensions.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellations must be emailed to Janet Vojtash at on or before January 22, 2020 for a full refund. Cancellation requests after January 22 for event registration, additional representative fees, and/or interview table(s) will not be refunded. All unpaid registration fees are due upon cancellation.

No-Show Policy
Career Fair "no-shows" are responsible for their entire registration fee and are not eligible to roll the registration package over to another event. To avoid being considered a no-show, please email and cancel no later than January 22, 2020. All unpaid registration fees are due immediately. 

If you wish to interview students you meet at the Career Expo, interview space is available. Please indicate this within your Career Expo registration.  CPDC Career Partners will be given preference to CPDC interview rooms. For your convenience, we've gathered a list of nearby area accommodations. Some offer discount rates to Carnegie Mellon visitors and free shuttle service to campus for your convenience. Not sure about locations? Check out our online campus map. The hotels closest to campus will be in Shadyside, East End and Oakland.

Hotels with an asterisk (*) indicate that Carnegie Mellon should have an annual contract in place for special pricing, group rates, shuttle services, etc. Unique terms and conditions may apply, please check with the hotel directly upon booking.

Warehouse Receiving: Monday January 13 to Wednesday, January 29
Warehouse hours:  Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm

Any items received at the warehouse after the event is over will be charged handling fees, based on the piece count of the outbound shipment

  • Your registration includes the material handling fee for one (1) small package (i.e. carton or fiber case) from Stetson's warehouse to the career fair 
  • Stetson will apply a material handling fee of $60 for each additional package after the first
  • A late fee of an additional $25 will apply to all packages received at Stetson's warehouse on or after January 30 and January 31
  • Please be advised that Stetson will apply a late warehouse fee of an additional $25, late handling fee of an additional $60 and a late transfer fee of $50 to all packages on or after February 3 and February 4
We will reserve one parking space per company in the East Campus Garage for the day of the Career Expo. A parking access code will be emailed prior to the event. 

This code is also required to exit the garage and is only good for one entry and one exit.
