Platform: Handshake Virtual Career Fair Platform
This signature 2-day virtual recruiting event will bring together arts, business, computer science, engineering, humanities, and science students to discuss all types of opportunities. Employers from all industries looking to fill numerous and varied roles with diverse CMU Talent are encouraged to attend encompass. Employers will have the ability to pre-schedule group and 1:1 sessions to maximize your time during the event.
Included in your Registration:
Encompass employers will have the opportunity to register for jumpstart! Preceding the encompass Career & Networking Event, jumpstart is a special two-hour early engagement event that allows employers to virtually connect with freshman and sophomores to discuss internships available at your company.
jumpstart will be held from 11am-1pm on each day of encompass at NO ADDITIONAL COST.
Note: Employers do not need to register for encompass to attend jumpstart. please visit the jumpstart webpage if you are only interested in attending jumpstart.

Virtual Platform & What is Included:
The CMU CPDC is excited to partner with Handshake to run career fairs in a virtual format.
Upon registration, we’ll review the details you submitted for approval. At our virtual event, you’ll be able to engage with students in a variety of formats, including:
- Video, audio, and chat communication with students
- Group meetings with up to fifty students
- 1:1 meetings scheduled in advance or after a group session
- By sharing your values and documentation with students ahead of time
Note: During registration, you’ll be asked to share the number of representatives who plan to attend the fair—up to 100 representatives per employer are able to participate in the fair. Each representative you register will be able to create their own unique schedule to engage with students later this summer. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations must be emailed to Janet Vojtash at firstname.lastname@example.org on or before January 22, 2021, for a full refund. Cancellation requests after January 12 will not be refunded. All unpaid registration fees are due upon cancellation.
No-Show Policy: Career Fair "no-shows" are responsible for their entire registration fee and are not eligible to roll the registration package over to another event. To avoid being considered a no-show, please email email@example.com and cancel no later than January 22, 2021. All unpaid registration fees are due immediately.
