Help from the Professionals
A great coach can help you improve your skills and stay ahead of the competition. That’s as true for a career search as it is for a sport. The Alumni Association and the Career and Professional Development Center can connect you with career coaches to help you with a job change or major career switch.
CPDC Career Consultants
CMU’s Career and Professional Development Center offers appointments with staff career consultants who can advise alumni about a variety of career exploration and job search topics, such as resume review or interview skills.
Note: You will need to create a free account on Handshake to schedule an appointment.
Alumni Career & Executive Coach Directory
CMU alumni have access to a directory of fellow alumni serving as career and executive coaches. These professional executive, communications and/or career coaches provide discounted fee-based personalized professional development services and have been screened by the Alumni Association and CPDC staff.
You will be required to login to the Community in order to access this directory.
Rate details are available through the coaches and may vary by services sought, market and other factors. Coaches offer their services in-person or virtually by phone or Skype. When talking with coaches, please be sure to mention that you are a CMU alumnus/a.
