Meeting Rooms & Spaces
Most spaces in the Cohon Center can be reserved using 25Live. Requests are not considered scheduled until you have received a confirmation email from the Scheduling Office. (Once you have placed a request, do not edit your event in 25Live.)
All reservation requests must be made at least two business days before the date of the event. Cohon Center spaces can be reserved only by student organizations or academic departments between the hours of 8 a.m. and midnight. Spaces may not be reserved for class-related purposes. If you have questions about and changes to your reservations, contact the Scheduling Office at 412-268-1853.
The Cohon Center manages reservations for the Simmons Auditorium in the Tepper Building. Email us to reserve Simmons Auditorium.

Meeting Rooms, Event Spaces, and Common Areas
Activities Room
The Activities Room is a mixed-use space on the second floor of the Cohon University Center.
Andy's Alcove
Andy's Alcove is a mixed-use space on the lower floor of the Cohon University Center.
Class of 1987 Room
Class of 1987 is a conference room on the second floor equipped with a projector and screen. ***The audio for the screen/projector is not working at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.***
Danforth Conference
Danforth Conference is a spacious and flexible space equipped with built-in technology provisions.
Danforth Lounge
The Danforth Lounge is a large reception space located overlooking the Gesling Stadium.
Dowd Room
Dowd is a meeting room with flexible tables and chairs, a white board, projector and screen.
General Motors and Foster Rooms
The General Motors Room overlooks the pool and offers plenty of seating for Cohon Center guests.
Graduate Student Lounge
The Graduate Student Lounge is a study, work, and social space for graduate students.
Lee Lobby
Lee Lobby is a main entranceway and gathering space that features a beautiful Chihuly sculpture.
Legacy Plaza
Legazy Plaza is a courtyard and gathering space between the Cohon Center and West Wing.
McConomy Auditorium
McConomy is a large auditorium on the first floor, featuring 445 stadium-style seats and a stage.
McKenna/Peter/Wright
McKenna, Peter, and Wright can serve as one large space or be divided into three rooms. All individual rooms have a projector, screen and audio.
Merson Courtyard
Merson Courtyard is a community gathering space outside of the center near the Cut.
Pake Room
Pake Room is a conference room on the second floor equipped with a projector and screen. ***The audio for the screen/projector is not working at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.***
Rain Gardens
The Rain Gardens are a beautiful entranceway to Carnegie Mellon's campus from Forbes Avenue.
Rangos Ballroom
Rangos Ballroom can be divided into individual sections - Rangos 1, 2, and 3 - for smaller events.
Recycling Room
A recycling center is available on the first floor of the center as a resource for the entire campus.
Schatz Dining Room
Schatz is Carnegie Mellon’s all-you-care-to-eat breakfast and dinner buffet with a formal dining room.
Scotland Yard
Scotland Yard is a recreational space and game room offering pool, foosball, pinball, and more.
Skibo Café
Skibo Café is a mutipurpose space with writable surfaces, digital displays, power, and a stage.
Studio Theater
The Studio Theater is a reservable space, featuring telescopic seating, tension grid, and projection booth.
Tartan Collaborative
The Tartan Collaborative Commons is a study, work, and gathering space for undergraduates.
Wright-Rogal Chapel
Adorned with a beautiful stained-glass window, the chapel is a prayer space on the first floor.
