RESOLVED: Public Color Printer Issues (cheme-printers)

Status: Resolved

The issue was indeed a problem with the firewall on all three affected printers. The issue has been corrected and all printers are printing normally from the new server.

**UPDATE - The issue was caused by an update that affected the firewall on these printers. We have disabled the firewall which has resolve the issue for the two older printers, DH A226 HPCP5525 and DHA103 CP5525. The workaround did not resolve the issue with DH2103 HPCLJM750

The three color printers, DH A226, DH 2103 and DH A103 are experiencing network issues related to a driver/software problem. This problem is only affecting users printing through the new print server, cheme-printers. We are working with the vendor to determine the cause of the issue. These users include cluster users, new graduate students and some graduate existing graduate students.

We will send out an update on this issue when available
