Issues with Aspen Properties Enterprise Database v9 in Computer Lab

Everyone,

There is a bug in Aspen Properties Enterprise Database v9 wherreby the databases fail to load completely. After this happens the affected user can no longer use Aspen Plus on the affected computer.

Aspen v9 unlike v8.8 and earlier keeps a separate copy of the APED database files for each user on each comptuer. As a result the databases need to be restored the first time Aspen is run by a particular user on a particular computer (No just once per computer as it was with older versions). If this process fails please follow the below steps to fix the issue:

1.  Navigate to c:\ProgramData\AspenTech\APED V9.0 (This folder is hidden so you will have to type it in or "Show Hidden Files")

2. Double-Click the file "DeleteDBInstance.bat". This will remove the failed databases on this computer for your userID

3. Only when step 2 is complete (even if it says it fails), double-click DBRestore.bat and let it complete before attempting to run Aspen Plus

Please contact the helpdesk if the above steps do not redolve you issue.
