Peng Receives ASCE Award

peng.pngWe extend heartfelt congratulations to Senior Justin Peng for his outstanding achievement: receiving the prestigious and very competitive 2023 ASCE Achievement Award from the student foundation during the ASCE Pittsburgh Section Engineers Week and Awards Banquet.

Throughout his academic career, Peng has earned awards such as the TechSpark Best Design award alongside his CEE teammates and a Commendation for Excellence at the Thrill Design Invitational presented by Universal Creative in 2022.

During a summer internship at Universal Creative in Orlando, Peng played role in the construction management team responsible for bringing one of the themed lands in the Epic Universal theme park to life. His contributions extended beyond construction, as he also assisted the interior design group by drafting architectural drawings.

Looking ahead, Peng eagerly anticipates his next steps post-graduation, interested in pursuing avenues in structural engineering, construction, and geotechnical engineering. He is deeply interested in the themed entertainment industry, aspiring to specialize in structural engineering. Additionally, Peng plans to further his education by pursuing a Master's focusing on Computational Mechanics and obtaining his PE license.
