Physical Activity & Fitness

Investing time into your physical health is part of a well-rounded wellbeing journey. In terms of fitness options on campus, it is not a one-size-fits-all scenario.  Whether you’re interested in personal training, yoga, swimming laps or playing soccer for fun and not part of an athletics team, there is something for you.

Explore indoor and outdoor, on-campus and off-campus spaces to get active!

Group Exercise

Group X (Group Exercise) offers 30 to 35 weekly free fitness classes, including Zumba, kettlebell, HIIT (high intensity interval training), strength training, cycling, yoga, strength and cardio classes, kickboxing, dance and more.

Personal Training

Personal training offers CMU students, faculty and staff a convenient and affordable way to achieve their fitness goals. Each session is 30 minutes and you can pay by credit card at the fitness desk.

Intramural Sports

Intramural sports offer students the opportunity to engage with peers from across campus through organized leagues and tournaments. Options include kickball, soccer, tennis, ultimate frisbee and more.

Club Sports

Club sports are recognized as student organizations and offer the campus community the opportunity to participate in non-varsity intercollegiate athletic competition and formalized group instruction.

Aquatics/Swimming

Students can access the Cohon University Center pool for physical education classes, open recreation swimming, varsity swimming/diving, club swimming and club water polo teams, intramural programs, ROTC and reserved events.
