Tabitha Slater
Foreign Student and Scholar Advisor
Tabitha serves as a Foreign Student and Scholar Advisor in OIE. She earned her B.A. in Communications and a M.S. in Higher Education from Robert Morris University. Prior to joining OIE at Carnegie Mellon University, Tabitha worked a decade in various capacities with International Students and Scholars at Robert Morris University.
Tabitha is originally from the Pittsburgh area and loves to talk to students about all the things they can do in the city surrounding areas. In her free time, Tabitha enjoys reading, hiking, puzzle and board games, spending time with her family, and traveling. Tabitha has a passion for traveling and has visited over 20 countries and 4 continents. Her goal is to visit all the continents at least once. She enjoys chatting about where she has traveled, where students and scholars are coming from, and where they may want to travel next.
