I grew up in Western New York in a small town outside of Rochester. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Special Education and then a master’s degree in literacy at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Geneseo. While at Geneseo, I got involved in the orientation program and discovered a love for supporting and educating college students. Prior to coming to CMU, I spent 10 years creating and managing a leadership and professional development program at SUNY Brockport. I also had the opportunity to oversee community service and democratic engagement initiatives. I truly value the role that colleges and universities play in empowering students to have a positive impact on their communities.
I am thrilled to be part of the CMU community and have the opportunity to support Dietrich students as you pursue your personal and professional goals. I believe that my role is to help you discover your full potential so feel free to reach out for anything you might need. In particular, I am passionate about connecting students to engaged learning opportunities, like internships, to enhance their college experience.
In my free time, I enjoy going for hikes, completing puzzles of all kinds and spending time with my family. I also love exploring the greater Pittsburgh area and learning more about the community that I now call home.
