RSAC Security Scholar Program enters seventh year

Some of the brightest up-and-coming talent in the security field will showcase their research at RSAC, including two scholars from the INI: recent M.S. in Information Security (MSIS) graduate Wil Luca and current MSIS student Arshi Chadha.

These students will represent Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) as part of the RSAC Security Scholar Program, which connects top cybersecurity students from 40 universities with their peers, industry experts and conference attendees. The INI played a significant role in the launch of the program in 2016 and has since sent a total of 20 Security Scholars to RSAC.

“It’s been exciting to see the Scholar Program grow and become what it is today,” said Dr. Dena Haritos Tsamitis, director of the INI and a member of the RSAC Advisory Board. “This year’s conference theme is transform, and this program does just that by providing the opportunity for new talent to exchange innovative ideas and share impactful work.”

Luca and Chadha will present their research at the RSAC Security Scholar Program Poster Session taking place Wednesday, June 8, 12:25-1:15 pm PT in the Moscone West Level 2 Lobby. Details
