Leia Delabahan Wins Andy Award for Spirit

By Elizabeth Donaldson

This November, the Integrated Innovation Institute celebrated Leia Delabahan, CMUiii Academic & Student Services Advisor, at the 2020 Andy Awards. The Carnegie Mellon Andy Awards honor staff across the University for their achievements in the categories: "Spirit," "Commitment to Excellence," "Innovative and Creative Contributions," and "Teamwork and Collaboration." Comprised of 49 individuals and 18 teams of colleagues, the 2020 Andy Award nominees represented a diverse array of departments, functions, and responsibilities across the university.

We are proud to announce that Leia Delabahan was awarded the 2020 Andy Award for Spirit; the Spirit Award "honors staff members who enhance campus life with their enthusiasm, dedication to the university community, and commitment to exceptional service."

Leia joined the Integrated Innovation Institute in 2018 as an Academic Advisor for MS Technology Ventures and MS Software Management graduate students. Since then, she has helped countless students by creating safe, supportive, and celebratory spaces on the Silicon Valley campus and in our new virtual communities.

The 2020 Andy Award virtual ceremony is available to watch. Congratulations, Leia!
