With regional networks located across the United States, chances are there is a network of CMU alumni nearby for you to meet your fellow Tartans to network, learn and socialize.
With just under 5,000 alumni throughout Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Worcester counties, the Boston Network is one of the largest networks in the Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Association.
The Denver Network has over 1,250 alumni, parents and friends in the region. Boulder, Denver, Jefferson and Larimer counties feature prominently in this network.
There are more than 1,300 alumni, students, parents and friends in the Houston Network, mostly from Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria and Galveston counties.
With over 4,250 alumni, students, parents and friends from Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and San Bernadino counties, the Los Angeles Network is one of CMU’s largest regional networks.
With over 13,000 alumni, parents, students and friends in the New York Metro area, the network is one of the largest regional networks for the Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Association. New York, Kings, Queens, Hudson, Westchester and other counties comprise the network, and they support a number of events, including theater productions, entrepreneurship events, community service days and the annual gathering at the U.S. Open.
The Northeast Ohio Network has over 1,200 alumni, students, parents and friends in the region. Cuyahoga and Summit counties feature prominently in this network, and the network hosts events including volunteer opportunities, theater events, happy hours and a summer picnic.
There are over 4,200 alumni, students, parents and friends in the Philadelphia Network throughout Montgomery, Philadelphia, Chester, Bucks and Delaware counties.
With more than 33,000 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends in the region, the Pittsburgh network is the largest regional network of the Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Association.
Pittsburgh Network Fund The Pittsburgh Network is a volunteer-led organization bringing together the CMU community across the Pittsburgh area through diverse engagement opportunities for alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff. Donations made to the network go directly to support those gathering efforts to build and strengthen the CMU community.
Pittsburgh Women’s Clan Scholarship The Pittsburgh Women’s Clan Scholarship seems to have begun in the late 1930s during the Depression to help junior women achieve their Carnegie Tech education. Ultimately, the Women’s Clan merged with the Pittsburgh Clan to form the Pittsburgh Network. The scholarship continues to support women in their junior year.
Pittsburgh Network PLAID Scholarship The Pittsburgh Loyal Scot AID (PLAID) Scholarship was created in 2012 and first awarded during the 2013-14 school year to recognize the Pittsburgh Network’s efforts in growing the Loyal Scot community as part of the Trustee Loyal Scot Chapter Challenge. This scholarship is awarded to a rising junior each year.
Over 900 alumni, students, parents and friends in and around San Diego are part of this regional network. It supports a variety of events, including Padres games, beach days and Globally Plaid events.
One of CMU's largest regional networks, the San Francisco Bay Area boasts a collection of over 10,500 alumni, parents and friends. Tartans from Santa Clara, San Francisco, Alameda and San Mateo counties are represented at entrepreneurship events, the Alumni Insights Series, the annual Sharks vs. Penguins NHL game and happy hours throughout the region.
With over 2,600 alumni, students, parents and friends in the Seattle Network, many of those Tartans are located in and around King, Snohomish, Kitsap and other nearby counties.
With just under 6,500 alumni, students, parents and friends in the Washington, D.C., Network, many of those Tartans are located in and around Fairfax, Montgomery and Arlington counties, as well as the District of Columbia. The network supports a number of events throughout the academic year, including happy hours, theater productions, family-friendly events, watch parties and the annual holiday party.
