Housing

CMU does not currently offer on-campus housing to Graduate Students. If this is something you would like to see CMU provide in the future, submit your story HERE so GSA can better advocate for services that directly affect our community.
Check out the listings on the CMU Off Campus Housing website (instructions for use HERE). For more expansive lists, you can use online apartment rental search services (such as apartments.com , realtor.com , zillow.com , or many more). Additionally Craig's List in Pittsburgh has lots of listings for apartment rentals. For anywhere you find your apartment, be sure to know your rights before you sign a lease. You can find more information about how to safely rent an apartment in Pittsburgh HERE.
Sure! Go HERE  and click on "Roommates". You will need to make an account to use this page (not just your AndrewID log in) and can connect with other CMU students looking for a roommate.
Be sure to educate yourself on your rights as a Tenant, see more information HERE. Additionally, CMU offers free legal consultations on all civil complaints (this includes housing/landlord issues). For more information and to sign up, see HERE.
Yes. CMU has Postal Services on the Lower Level of the CUC. There you can send outgoing mail and rent a mailbox to recieve mail and packages on campus as well. There is a fee to rent a postbox for a semester/year. Get more info HERE.
