Study Abroad Programs

Many opportunities for study abroad exist. Whether you are interested in traveling to a specific region, pursuing a particular field of study, finding volunteer and service opportunities, or traveling during a certain time of year, programs that meet your needs likely exist. Get started by browsing the options below.

Important Notes:

  • OIE does not typically fund, or support, travel to countries where the US State Department has a Level 3 or Level 4 Travel Advisory in effect. In cases where a Level 3 Travel Advisory is location-specific within a country, the support requests will be reviewed by the university on a case-by-case basis. View OIE's practice statement for additional details.
  • A student's enrollment in a program of study abroad approved for credit by Carnegie Mellon may be considered enrollment at Carnegie Mellon for the purpose of applying for assistance under the Federal Title IV, HEA financial aid programs.
