Scotty Accountability Sessions

Are you struggling with motivation and staying on task? Tired of studying alone and getting distracted or off track?

Studying and working on homework can be really isolating. For some students, working alone leads to reduced motivation, productivity, and increased procrastination. Join our Scotty Accountability Sessions to share space with other students in order to help each other stay on track.

Scotty Accountability Sessions offer ongoing support to all CMU students.

How does it work?

Consistent Dedicated Work Time: Scotty Accountability Sessions take place multiple times a week in various locations around campus. Students can stop by and work alongside each other in a quiet and supportive environment.

Academic Coach Support: Sessions are led by our Academic Coaches who are there to support productive study habits and skills. Coaches can help you with scheduling, time management, study skills, and other academic skills.

Flexibility: Students can come and go as they please and are welcome to attend any of the sessions on campus.

The Academic Coaching Program provides holistic one-on-one peer support and group workshops to help undergraduate and graduate students find and implement their conditions for success.

Our Academic Coaching workshops help students improve their time management, productive habits, organization, stress management, and study skills. We collaborate with various graduate and undergraduate programs to offer workshops in a variety of study skills topics. Students can choose to attend one or more workshops that are available year-round.

Workshops are currently delivered using video and audio conferencing technology to provide all students with support.
