Hi! My name is Audrey and I am a senior studying Film with an additional major in Business Administration. I’ve lived in California, Connecticut, and Arizona, and I love traveling, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach!

At school, I am one of the Co-VPs of the CMU Filmmakers club and this is my second year of academic success coaching. I’ve experimented with so many study habits to find what works for me and I’m excited to help you as well with task prioritization, organization, scheduling, time management, study habits, and more!

Hi everyone! My name is Erica Ochiai, and I’m currently a senior studying Business Administration, Human-Computer Interaction, and Japanese. I’m passionate about pottery, surfing, thrifting, volleyball, and cooking! At Carnegie Mellon, I’m involved with Delta Gamma, Club Volleyball, and I work at Capital Grains.

I’m excited to help you find the perfect balance between work and fun, whether it’s through time management tips, study strategies, or just finding ways to make the most of your college experience!

Bio

Hey, it’s Lynette :) I’m a junior at CMU studying Spanish + HCI. I’m originally from Queens, NY, but went to high school in Utah. I’m also involved in Global Medical Bridges and Global Buddies!

I’m a huge fan of traveling, trying random things, and I’ve had the chance to study abroad too! I have definitely overcomplicated my study methods a few times haha, and have changed up how I study a lot throughout college and while abroad. I’m excited to share what’s worked for me and help you figure out what works best for you too!

Bio

Hey everyone, I’m Nick Kourakis! I’m very happy to be returning this year as a Student Academic Success Coach. I am a senior studying Statistics and Machine Learning, and I am from Washington D.C., but have lived all over the world. In my free time I like to read, travel and play soccer.

I have implemented several study and organization techniques for my own benefit while balancing academics, being on an athletic team, and maintaining a social life, so I’m excited to hear about your experiences and provide guidance where I can. Your time at CMU should be challenging, rewarding, and very enjoyable! Looking forward to meeting you.

Bio

Hi! I’m Roger Jin, a senior at CMU studying Information Systems with an additional major in Statistics & Data Science and minors in Machine Learning and Finance. I’m originally from Dallas, and outside of academics, I love playing golf and tennis, snowboarding, and traveling. On campus, I’m involved in Alpha Kappa Psi and Lambda Phi Epsilon, and I’m also a TA for Statistical Graphics & Visualization.

When I first came to CMU, I struggled to find my footing and often felt lost trying to navigate college. With the support of a coach, a lot of hard work, and plenty of trial and error, I eventually found the routines and approaches that worked for me. Because I’ve been in that position myself, I understand how overwhelming college can feel, and I hope to be the same kind of support for you that my coach was for me. As a coach, I want our conversations to feel like you’re talking to a friend—someone you can be open and honest with, who will listen without judgment and genuinely wants to help you figure out what works best for you.

Bio

Hi! I'm Shanaya, pursuing my Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering, with my Bachelor’s in Materials Science & Engineering, additional major in Biomedical Engineering, and minor in Human-Computer Interaction. I was born in Austin, TX but grew up in Mumbai, India (if you ask me about home, I'll never stop talking).

At CMU, I have competed as a sprinter for our Track & Field team and have been involved in eboard roles at Alpha Kappa Psi and Engineers Without Borders. Hence, juggling academics, athletics, and extracurriculars is something I’ve learned through experience, and I know how challenging it can be. As a Success Coach, I’m here as a peer and a friend who understands the demands of student life. My goal is to create a space where you can talk openly, and we can work together to manage your time in a way that fits your priorities and still gives you time to rest and socialize.
