The Fence Post is a newsletter for family members of undergraduate students that provides brief updates and curated content about the CMU experience. Each issue will feature campus resources relevant to family members, the latest episode of Piper TV - a weekly roundup of news and happenings from across campus hosted by CMU students - and upcoming campus events and deadlines.

Family Weekend is October 8-9, 2021!
More than 2,000 families are expected to be on campus this weekend to visit their student and get a little taste of life at CMU. Family Weekend is the first fully in-person, on-campus event for parents and families since before the pandemic. This year’s large get-together offers more than 40 different activities, including academic open houses and panels, student performances, intercollegiate athletic competitions and even a painting class on the Cut. Pre-registration is required.
