Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships

Deadline: Friday, March 20, 2020
The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program awards $3,500 to undergraduate students at Carnegie Mellon for 8 to 10 weeks of full-time summer research in any field of study. Students who are interested in submitting a proposal are encouraged to meet with a staff member in the Undergraduate Research Office to discuss more about the opportunity. Study Abroad Scholarships

Various scholarships and grants are offered for students who are interested in summer study abroad, summer travel abroad or international research. Some of the scholarships are limited to specific programs or academic colleges, but many are open to all students. Summer Internship Experience Fund

Deadline: Rolling basis from January 13 to April 3, 2020
The Summer Internship Experience Fund is a need-based grant of up to $2,500 available to undergraduate students participating in off-campus summer internships that are unpaid or low-paying. The fund is designed to encourage students to explore opportunities that support academic goals or career exploration that would be difficult to participate in without additional funding.
