Congratulations on your acceptance to the INI for the 2019-20 academic year! To help with your graduate school decision, we're hosting Admitted Students Day on Friday, March 22, 2019.

Join us for an engaging day of presentations, panel talks and networking activities.

This is your opportunity to get all your questions answered while enjoying a day at Carnegie Mellon University's (CMU) main campus in Pittsburgh. You'll receive a warm welcome from the Director of the INI and learn valuable information from our world-class faculty, current students and expert career services and enrollment staff.

Registration and Presentations

8:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. 

Our primary location will be the Distributed Education Center (DEC) within the INI Building (DEC@INI) at 4616 Henry Street. Please plan to arrive at 8:30 a.m. for registration and breakfast. Directions to the INI.

Open House Social

Networking Reception

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Enjoy the beautiful views and refreshments in Scott Hall's Marquis Room and network with faculty, staff and current students. Please bring a valid state or federal I.D. as proof of age. 

GOINI social

Social Hour and Game Night

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

What's it like to be an INI student? Get the inside scoop by hanging out with current students and enjoying an evening of fun games, good music and tasty food. 

Schedule

Please plan to arrive at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 22 for registration and breakfast at the INI Building. The program will begin at 9:00 a.m.

  • Sessions will be held consecutively throughout the day
  • Meals will be provided

Accommodations

Shadyside Inn Suites
The INI will cover accommodations for Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22. Any additional nights will not be covered by INI.

Your reservations must be made through the INI. Please contact Jennifer Spirer no later than Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

While You're In Pittsburgh

There are lots of fun things to do while you're in Pittsburgh, from museums and sports games to award-winning restaurants and scenic views.

Travel and Transportation

The INI will reimburse students for Admitted Student Day travel expenses*:

  • U.S. Students (except for West Coast) - up to $300
  • West Coast and Canada - up to $500
  • International - up to $600

*The amount of reimbursement will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Air

Pittsburgh International Airport is serviced by 14 airlines and offers nonstop service to 68 U.S. cities. The airport is an approximate 45 minute drive to campus.

Bus

The Port Authority of Allegheny County maintains bus routes throughout the city and surrounding areas. Visit the Port Authority website for fares, schedules and route information.

Car

Uber, Lyft and taxi services are popular and easy to use in Pittsburgh. There are a variety options to accomodate your party size and specific transportation needs.
