At the Integrated Innovation Institute, students aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

In the Integrated Product Development capstone course, Master of Integrated Innovation for Products & Services (MIIPS) students are brought together in diverse five-person teams. Teams are then paired with a corporate partner, and students are tasked with solving for a client's pain-point or innovating on the client's current processes.

As the construction industry follows the technological trends of our times, hiring and retaining skilled technicians with advanced knowledge of automated equipment is an organizational necessity.

To solve for this new challenge, five MIIPS students donned their hard hats and rolled up their sleeves. In close collaboration with VolvoGroup, Volvo's construction sector, they outlined a plan to recruit and retain this new in-demand talent.
