Bio
I am a tenured professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science, as well as affiliated faculty in the Machine Learning (ML) Department and at the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition (CNBC). I am a graduate advisor for the Program in Neural Computation (PNC) at the CNBC. I obtained my Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Oxford, UK, under the supervision of Anthony Davison and David Hinkley. Prior to that I received MS in Statistics, computer engineering, and finance. My undergraduate studies were in pure math, physics, and chemistry.
Specific Research Interests
Most of my research is in computational neuroscience, and involves time series forecasting, networks, algorithms, and nonparametric methods.
