Carnegie Mellon University

Undergraduate Program in Arabic Studies

Arabic Studies promotes not only language proficiency but also an understanding of Arabic culture. Students who arrive at Carnegie Mellon with previous language experience and/or who have high Advanced Placement, an International Baccalaureate or internal placement exam scores will be able to begin taking courses toward the minor earlier in their undergraduate program. In all cases, progress toward the minor will be accelerated by study abroad, which is recommended for all majors and minors in our department.
