“This program was way beyond my comfort zone than I could’ve ever imagined, in the best way possible. Even though I’m Palestinian, I learned so much about my culture, language, and even myself. I’m beyond grateful to have been a part of this program. As challenging and exhausting it can get, the rewards are so worth it. You meet people on the way, try new food, and learn about things beyond imagination. I strongly recommend the CIEE x CMU program for those who always thought of taking the leap but were intimidated. Looking back at it now, I wouldn’t change a thing.” — Piadora El-Chanti
