Bio
I always enjoy teaching and research in the field of China Studies and Sociology since I received my Ph.D. in Sociology. I have developed and taught courses at Fudan University in China and then came to the US as a Harvard-Yenching Scholar at Harvard University. Besides, I have also taught at Boston University, Lund University in Sweden as a guest professor before I moved to Pittsburgh. My research interests and academic publications are on contemporary China, culture change in China, gender equality/inequality, political economy of China, China in the age of reform, youth culture, family and marriage, globalization. My research and teaching often focus on how institutional change may have effects on individual action. I am genuinely excited about learning everyday and have been volunteering in community service and educational events in Pittsburgh.
