Timeline and Milestones

Lean Six Sigma

FY23 (June – November)

Six Sigma is a method that provides organizations tools to improve the capability of their business processes. This program trains staff in the methodology and provides the participants with practical experience by assigning them to work on real university efforts. It also provides the participants with support to pursue the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification at the end of the program. Computing Services extends this opportunity by nominating staff for this annual HR sponsored development program.

SANS Cyber Security Training

On-going

The SANS program provides role-based cyber security awareness training that is essential for our workforce to confidently design, build, and deploy secure software and systems, provide timely incident prevention, detection, and response, and ensure that the university’s mission is resilient to threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of university information and systems. Participants self-select based on role, relevance, and/or compliance and professional certification needs.
