Turning Research into Policy and Practice
The Block Center for Technology and Society is dedicated to the interdisciplinary, scientific investigation of the economic, organizational and public policy impacts of new and emerging technologies and their deployment in society.
We aim to study the societal consequences of technological change, develop innovative policy interventions that ensure the benefits of technological change are shared across society, and identify, develop, and promote the use of advanced technologies to address the social and economic needs of society.

What's new from Block?
Eleven faculty have been selected to participate in the new Block Public Engagement Fellowship. Over the course of the year-long program, participating faculty will bring their work on technology and society into the public square.
Participants will develop public-facing work rooted in their research and expertise. They will work with editors, take part in workshops and cohort discussions, and come together for an intensive writing retreat. The goal is to bring rigorous research into conversations where it can inform policy, business, media, and public deliberation.
