SUMMER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The Summer Leadership Institute empowers a cohort of graduate students from across Carnegie Mellon University to develop their leadership and project management skills while addressing community-identified needs within the Pittsburgh region. Through project-based learning, leadership development instruction, and intentional reflection, this summer program aims to empower community-minded leaders who are prepared to create a genuine impact at CMU and beyond.

The 2026 Summer Leadership Institute will launch the week of July 13th and run for 6 weeks. Participants will be asked to commit to 5-10 hours of a week. Participants do not have to be on-campus during the summer to apply for the program.
