The Senior Year Experience

The Senior Year Experience program is a partnership between the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement and Civic Engagement (SLICE), the Alumni Association and the Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC). The program gives seniors support that is needed during their critical last year on campus as they prepare for life after graduation. Throughout the year, the Senior Year Experience program celebrates the achievements of seniors through festive events on campus and in the Pittsburgh community, while at the same time preparing students for their future careers and life after college.

There are three pillars that guide the vision and planning of the Senior Year Experience program — celebration, exploration, and preparation — each of which tie to the various offerings. Seniors are able to look forward to events such as a Welcome Back Social, a December Graduates Reception, Resume Writing and Interview Technique Workshops, and a Senior Week celebration to send them off to Commencement Weekend. Ask your senior about the monthly Senior Year Experience newsletter that they will receive highlighting all of the various opportunities!
