How can we use technology to improve bike safety?
As more commuters opt for bicycles, the rules of the road can get complicated. Here in Pittsburgh, drivers are not as welcoming or aware of how to share the road with cyclists. In turn, cyclists don't always feel safe and don't have many ways to signal that they need more room.
The Solution
Revenge Cycle warns drivers when they are coming too close to cyclists by spraying cars with washable paint. To detect nearby cars, the product is designed with the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, including three input sensors and two IR distance sensors.
