The Weather Box
Are there more enjoyable ways to check the weather without a smart phone?
Now with smartphones, people check weather apps to see the weather, by the hour. While apps are very efficient, they aren't as delightful or gratifying as gathering cues about the weather simply by looking out the window.
The Solution
The Weather Box uses three data inputs: air temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed. The devices pulls those data points from locations across the U.S. and transmits them visually through color, movement, and wind. In the protoype you can quickly get a visual report of the weather in places like Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, Anchorage, and Hawaii.
